  I chose Buddhism because it made me change my ways and respect all living things , supported Buddhist values of love, showed peace and no violence, I became a vegetarian and stopped hunting therefore becoming the Buddhist king changed my old ways. I am important because of my edicts they changed people and I’m also important because i came with buddhism that I believed in and that made people trust me and respect me.

When i made my goals i also created edicts in Precise i have 9. I will say two of my edicts, The world and the other world or heard of gain without great love or righteousness Great self examination great obedience and great effort. This edict is talking about the good you do the better you do the better you will in the world after death so over all be a good person. This is also one of my edicts it is good to be obedient to one’s mother and father friends and relatives. It is also not only to spend a little, but to own the minimum of property. This means that you should be obedient to everyone this is also an edict.

I wanted to protect my people and punish the wrong and for my people acting morally and trust me was a must. Buddhist values to be loving and respectful and keep no violence, not getting attached to worldly things and act morally right than wrong. That’s my first goal i called it Buddhist values my second goal was general welfare its about peoples well being, my third goal is justice its about fair laws and my last law the fourth security its about peace and issues dealt with conquests.

    Hello I am the great leader of ancient India, and great emperor that fought wars of conquest to build my empire, my name is Ashoka and this is my blog. In the beginning of me being a ruler i was very harsh and i was placed in many wars ,  I would start wars to conquer areas , very violent and hungry for power but that was when i was first became the emperor. After a harsh war my eyes opened to something new and that was buddhism.
